Ironbird supported Option Excavating on a major horizontal directional drilling (HDD) installation in northern Alberta for a critical water-intake line replacement. Our team provided specialized welding and coating services, including provision and installation of custom internal and external sleeves designed for long-term durability in a potable water pipeline. We also executed non-destructive testing (NDT) and comprehensive inspection throughout all phases of the project.
This large-scale HDD operation required precise alignment, high-level QA/QC oversight, and seamless coordination with drilling and construction teams—ensuring the integrity and reliability of the upgraded water-supply system.
